Lost Tide is a series of monoprints developed in response to the Black Rock Desert, where time feels compressed, overlapping, and circular. The work reflects on ancient shorelines of Pleistocene Lake Lahontan, when lunar cycles once governed the rise and fall of water across the playa. Through horizontal banding, the images narrow the viewer’s focus within a vast landscape, evoking the presence of water long since withdrawn.
